Brockport receives bench funding

The Village of Brockport has received funds to purchase benches for the north side of the canal.

Assemblyman Bill Reilich informed Mayor Mort Wexler of the funding. The present benches are in poor condition and are often targets of vandalism. The grant will fund the replacement of six of the current type with cast iron frame benches.

"Of the recent cultural and recreational improvements you see in the village - from the Tower Clock restoration to the upgrades at Harvester Park and the Havenwood Tot Lot - many are a direct result of state assistance obtained by Assemblyman Reilich," said Wexler.
