Lakeside announces line up for sold-out gala dinner event

Entertainment for the Lakeside Gala Dinner event on December 8 will begin with the Amadeus Chorale of Greater Rochester and Hilltop Singers, the children's choir from the Brockport Central School District. The singers will welcome guest speaker Bill O'Reilly as he arrives at Lakeside. The singers have performed for speakers in the past including Mary Matlin and James Carville, former Mayor of New York City Rudy Giuliani, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, and Generals Tommy Franks, Colin Powell and Norman Schwarzkopf.

Brockport resident and harpist Cathleen A. Gurnett will perform during the VIP reception at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Cindy Miller, vocalist and Rochester resident, will perform a song fitting to this year's event at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

Don Alhart, associate news director and anchor of WHAM, Channel 13 News, will serve as master of ceremonies. Alhart first participated as Lakeside's emcee when he helped welcome President Gerald Ford in 1995. This year will mark Alhart's 11th anniversary as emcee for the dinner.

Also, father and son orthodontists, Sam Rivoli, D.D.S. and Peter Rivoli, D.D.S., will serve as honorary chairpersons. Founder of Rivoli & Rivoli Orthodontics practice, Dr. Sam Rivoli is a lifelong resident of Rochester.

An active community leader, Rivoli has held leadership positions and maintained civic responsibilities with the Lions Club and as a Spencerport School Board member for 22 years. He resides in Spencerport with wife, Jean. Managing partner of Rivoli & Rivoli Orthodontics practice, Dr. Peter Rivoli has been practicing since 1989. Prior to joining his father's practice, he worked as a general dentist in Buffalo, New York. A strong commitment to setting quality industry standards, Peter served as past president of the Monroe County Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontics.
