Kiwanis and Key Club support school project

More than 8,800 members from the New York District of Kiwanis International are taking part in a statewide "Give a Bookmark, Get a Bookmark" Project. The Key Club of Brockport High School, in coordination with the Brockport Kiwanis Club, participated in this project.

Local Kiwanis Clubs have been asked to address the needs of children in the Gulf Coast and other hard hit disaster areas. Within the project plan, New York local students are supplied with precut card stock to create bookmarks. Kiwanis Club President Bob Reusch and Kiwanian Becky Gillette joined members of the Key Club at the high school to decorate the bookmarks. The students were asked to include "We are thinking about you," notes on the bookmark.

For information about this project or to become a member of Kiwanis, call Reusch at 638-8023.
