Red Ribbon Week celebrated

Students and staff at CTE at BOCES 2 participated in Red Ribbon Week with students across the nation to celebrate making healthy choices and remaining drug-free. CTE students signed a pledge card to making a personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle. To celebrate, a poster contest, along with hat day, wear red day and fitness day were held. The CTE annual blood drive completed the week with 75 pints of blood donated by students and staff. Assistant Principal Robert Hill (front row, l-r), Kristin Salem, Octavaia Lawhorn, Matt Garnham, Kathy Madonia supervisor of special education, Thelma Mayewski teacher's aide, and Christina Murray, Intro to Food Services teacher together with Megan DeLano, Hannah Andrew, Mike Rood, Julio Cruz, Aimal Quadri, Juan Santiago, Abe Butts and Kwame Dukes walk on Fitness Day to make the connection between the importance of physical fitness and healthy habits.
