Meghan McNamara, a senior at Spencerport High School, has been selected to perform as a member of the High School Chorale with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at their Holiday Pops Concerts, from December 15 through December 23 at the Eastman Theater. She is a member of the Spencerport High School Women's Choir and is the daughter of Patricia A. McNamara of Spencerport.


John Vinciquerra of Hilton is among the student volunteers serving in the Syracuse University Literacy Corps. The Syracuse University Literacy Corps is a service learning experience that mobilizes Syracuse students to mentor and tutor students at elementary and secondary schools in the Syracuse City School District and community-based organizations.


Krystal A. DeMonte, daughter of Lynn Joannis of Churchville, has been named to the Ohio Northern University dean's list for the fall quarter 2006-007. She is a freshman majoring in forensic biology.

The dean's list includes students who attain a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 grading system.


Prudential Discover Real Estate announced top listing agents for November - Cheryl and Al Honan. The Honans have been agents for many years.


John Puls was named top sales agent for November at Prudential Discover Real Estate. Puls serves the Buffalo and Rochester area.


Robert DeVos graduated November 9 from basic military training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is in AIT training in Fort Lee, Virginia. He is a 2006 graduate of Brockport High School and is the son and brother of Michael, Lynn and Jeremy DeVos of Hamlin.


Pvt. Matthew Nasso has completed U.S. Marine Boot Camp at Parris Island, South Carolina. He was in platoon 3102 and graduated on October 22. He will be reporting to Camp LeJeune for advanced training. He is the son of Carol and Danny Nasso and brother of Jake Nasso.
