Holley stars shine at talent show

Every act received rave audience reviews at the 11th annual "Search for the Stars" talent show presented by the Holley High School Student Council in mid-November. This year's theme was television and movies. In addition to class skits, students performed vocal, musical, comedy and dance routines. There were 28 acts in all, judged by a panel that included staff and alumni. Receiving first place for high school were Tim Barbato and Jared Wilson with their rendition of A Coke, Fries and Cheeseburger by KJ52. Their performance also earned them a standing ovation and the opportunity to perform at November's Board of Education meeting. For the middle school, Jared Wilson earned the top prize for his performance of Get to Me by Train. (Wilson also participated in the high school competition). Acting as masters of ceremony were Lindsay Fishbaugh and J.D. Johnson.
