Army Private Jason M. Downs graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina.

He is the son of Thomas Watson of Roosevelt Road, East Rochester and grandson of Viola Downs of Buffalo Street, Bergen.

Downs is a 2005 graduate of Byron-Bergen Central School, Bergen.
