Holley first graders read to help children in need

Katie Trupo's first grade class in Holley loves to read, but they love it even more when they know that by reading they are helping children in need. The class completed a service project entitled "Classrooms Care," sponsored by Scholastic Book Club, for which they read 100 books at home in less than two weeks. Scholastic rewards the students by donating 100 books to a needy class in another part of the country. Students received stickers and certificates recognizing their contribution.
