Brockport Community Big Band
to play at Kiwanis Masquerade Ball

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to attend a real Masquerade Ball? Maybe you're just looking for a truly exciting way to celebrate this Valentine's Day. The Kiwanis Club of Brockport will host the first annual Community Masquerade Ball at Hickory Ridge Country Club, 15816 Lynch Road, Holley, on Saturday, February 10 from 7 to 11 p.m. with music provided by the Brockport Community Big Band.

This Mardi Gras-style event will feature rotating hors d'oeuvre stations throughout the evening with coffee included at cost of $25 per person. There will also be a cash bar. Costumes are optional, but there will be prizes for the most interesting costumes worn. Masks will be provided at the door for the more reserved. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Brockport Community Big Band.

The Brockport Community Big Band is a 20-piece group in the tradition of big bands such as the Count Basie Orchestra that plays a wide range of popular music from each of the past 50 decades. Made up of volunteer musicians from the Brockport area, the band is led by Neil Hartwick and has entertained audiences throughout greater Rochester as they enter this, their third year together.
