Students capture "My Favorite Place"

The Brockport Central PTSA hosted a reception on November 30 for the National PTA Reflections Program. Entries were received from 133 elementary students in grades K-5. The visual arts, literature, and photography categories were represented using the theme "My Favorite Place."

The program provides students an opportunity to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original work. All students were recognized with a Certificate of Participation and finalists were announced at the reception. The top three finalists in each category will go on to the Regional PTA Reflections.

The finalists are:

Photography - 1st place - Jessica Emmerson (5th grade); 2nd place - Kylie Baker (Kindergarten); 3rd place - Brandon Baker (3rd grade); Honorable Mention - Matthew Lewis (3rd grade).

Literature - 1st place - tie between Alexandra Noll (5th grade) and Neil Singh (2nd grade).
