David Hartung, a 2002 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School, has completed his five-year course of study at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, and will graduate in May 2007 with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. Northeastern offers practice-based education, with alternating six-month periods of coursework and paid co-op jobs. By foregoing planned vacation periods, Hartung was able to complete his education in four and one-half years.

Hartung worked at General Electric Aircraft Engines in Lynn, Massachusetts; Borg-Warner Morse Chain in Ithaca, NY: and most recently, at BD Medical in Waltham, Massachusetts.

He has accepted a position at Axya Medical in Beverly, Massachusetts, as an R&D Engineer for Advanced Products.

He is the son of Jim and Pat Hartung of Osage Trail, Ogden.


Todd Ford of Brockport, a student in the American Marketing Association (AMA) chapter in Alfred University's College of Business, received a certificate from the Rochester Chapter of the AMA recognizing successful completion of Market Research Boot Camp.

Ford is a junior marketing major and a graduate of Brockport High School.


Molly Fillion, daughter of Kenn and Terry Fillion of Churchville, was named to the Cedarville University dean's honor list for the 2006 fall semester. She is a sophomore majoring in biology pre-med.

To be named to the Cedarville University dean's honor list, a student must earn a 3.75 GPA for the semester, be carrying at least 12 semester hours and have no grade lower than a "B" for the semester.


Adrienne C. Olson of Rochester, has achieved the dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2006. She is a 2006 graduate of West Irondequoit High School. She is the daughter of Julie Olson and Mike Eckrich of Irondequoit and Ken and Holly Olson of Ogden.


Meredith Lewis, daughter of Thomas and Marjorie Lewis of Spencerport, graduated from New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She maintained a 3.9 GPA. She has accepted a position with the NYU Athletic Department while pursuing a Master's Degree from NYU.


Gary Rose is the new director of security at the Brockport Central School District. Rose comes to the BCSD from the Rush-Henrietta School District where he was Security Foreman for five years. Prior to that he was a youth assistant/security and evening supervisor at BOCES 2 and worked as an investigator with a Rochester-based private investigative firm. Rose is familiar with the district as he is a BHS graduate and was a hall monitor in the high school for two years. He succeeds Charles Sanford who retired.

Rose is responsible for district wide safety and security and oversees the hall monitors and security personnel within the district. He is conducting security audits to assess where the district is now.


Christopher Kim Haight of Rochester, has been named to the fall 2006 dean's list at Lafayette College. Students must achieve a 3.45 GPA out of a possible 4.0 to be named to the list.


Clarise Saeva, daughter of Ron and Mary Ann Saeva of Spencerport, has been named to the dean's list at Keuka College in Keuka Park, NY. Saeva, a freshman, is studying occupational therapy. A Keuka College student must have earned at least a 3.50 grade-point-average for each block of at least 12 semester credit hours to be eligible for the dean's list.


St. Bonaventure University's fall 2006 dean's list students from this area are:

  • Ryan Shannon, a senior political science major from Brockport. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. James M. Shannon.
  • Kaitlyn Keidel, a senior elementary education/ special education major from Churchville. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. William E. Keidel.
  • Jessica Bartock, a senior biology major from Spencerport. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David M. Bartock.

Lisa Robinson of Churchville has achieved president's list with a GPA of 4.0 at SUNY College at Brockport for the fall semester 2006. She is a graduate of Churchville-Chili and is the daughter of Robert and Barbara Robinson of Churchville.


Benjamin DeJonge of Churchville has achieved the dean's list with a 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2006. She is a 2002 graduate of Churchville-Chili High School and is the son of Joan DeJonge of Churchville. He is majoring in physics and plans to teach.


Stephanie McMullen of Churchville, an international studies major who graduated from Churchville-Chili in 2003, was named to the fall dean's list at SUNY Cortland. Her parents are Marilyn and Tim McMullen.


Lisa Eisenhauer was the Top Listing Agent for December 2006 at Prudential Discover Real Estate. She was also the Top Listing & Sales Agent for the Year 2006.


Ellie Stevens was the Top Sales Agent for December 2006 at Prudential Discover Real Estate. She has been licensed for many years and resides in Greece.
