Karate student’s unselfish act earns certificate

For the past two years, Maxim DellaPosta, 10, grew his hair long. He became aware of a non-profit organization, Locks of Love, that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 18 suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. He thought it would bring joy to a child if he committed himself to donating his hair. On January 16, he was presented with a certificate of Budo Buger by Kyoshi Mark Caparco of Caparco Martial Arts. The recognition commends him for his unselfish donation to Locks of Love. DellaPosta has progressed in his karate training and has become one of Caparco Martial Arts’ top junior students. He is a fifth grader at Nazareth Hall School where he excels academically. Maxim DellaPosta is pictured before and after his haircut.
