Rachel Eichenberger, of Brick Schoolhouse Road, Hamlin has achieved the dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for the 2006 fall semester.

She is a 2003 graduate of Brockport High School and the daughter of Richard and Kathleen Eichenberger.


Erin Patmore, of Gibson Street, Bergen, has achieved the dean's list with honors with a GPA of 3.70-3.99 at SUNY College at Brockport for the 2006 fall semester. She is a 2003 graduate of Byron-Bergen High School and the daughter of Daniel and Pam Patmore of Bergen and Gladys Patmore of Churchville.


James C. Eick, of Bergen, has achieved dean's list with honors with a GPA of 3.70-3.99, at SUNY College at Brockport for the 2006 fall semester. He is a 2006 graduate of Byron-Bergen Central School and is the son of John and Sue Eick. He was accepted into the College Honors Program for entering freshmen; he is majoring in history.


Andrea Arlene Young of Churchville has achieved dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2006. She is a 2004 graduate of Caledonia-Mumford High School and is the daughter of Jim and Becky Young.

She is a double major in psychology and health science.


Elyse Marie Benamati of Spencerport has achieved dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for the 2006 fall semester. She is a 2005 graduate of Spencerport High School and is the daughter of Brian and Gayle Benamati.


Ryan Maier of Spencerport has achieved dean's list with honors with a GPA of 3.70-3.99, at SUNY College at Brockport for the 2006 fall semester. He is a 2005 graduate of Spencerport High School and is the son of Rick and Tammy Maier.

He is in the honors program at SUNY Brockport, studying to be a high school history teacher


Kimberly Eichas, daughter of Mike and Sandy Eichas of Spencerport, has been named to the fall 2006 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Eichas, a sophomore, is a childhood education/special education major. To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Courtney Kwiatkowski, daughter of Mark and Bette Kwiatkowski, has been named to the fall 2006 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. Kwiatkowski, a junior, is a psychology major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester.


Kim Ehret has been hired as a special events coordinator at SUNY College at Brockport. She is a member of a team of advancement professionals focused on building philanthropic relationships with the primary goal of securing significant private support to advance SUNY Brockport's mission.

Ehret interned in the advancement office prior to graduating with a bachelor's degree in communication in 2005. After serving as a temporary employee, Ehret was named to the position following a formal search.

Ehret is responsible for events such as Mornings with the Professors, Writer's Voice and Business Briefings. She coordinates the Benefactors and Scholars Brunch each fall and the Art of Fact in the spring. She serves on several campus committees including Commencement, Brockport Arts Festival and the Honors and Awards Ceremony.

She is a resident of Spencerport.


Jim Kanous is the new printing services manager at SUNY College at Brockport.

Kanous has more than 30 years of experience in the printing industry, working with diverse public and private corporations.

His responsibilities at SUNY Brockport include the management of the college's print shop, supervision of staff, and providing printing services to the campus community.

"Jim brings SUNY Brockport a wealth of experience in traditional printing and production methods as well as considerable expertise with current digital publishing technologies. His leadership role in the printing services area is making those new technologies and capabilities available to the entire campus," said Director of Design and Production Richard Black.

A Brockport resident, Kanous is a native Rochesterian, a graduate of Hilton High School and a 1977 RIT alumnus with a bachelor of science in print media management.


Stephanie Haibach of Kendall was awarded a spring 2007 academic scholarship for $2,500 from SUNY College at Brockport.

Each dean's scholar must be in the top 25 percent of their class, have a grade point average of 90 or better, and 1100 SAT or 24 ACT score.


Tracy Ricci is the Employee of the Month for February at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. Ricci has been working at Lakeside Health System since June 2005 working as a Registered Nurse in Lakeside's Surgical Services, and recently in the ICU. She resides in Brockport.


Janel Kierecki has been named to the president's list of SUNY Cortland for the fall 2006 semester. She achieved a 4.0 GPA. The president's list acknowledges students who achieve grades of A- or better in each of their courses and are enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. She is the daughter of John Kierecki and Jane Gebhardt, and is a dual major for elementary education and special education.


Tara Westcott of Clarendon has achieved the dean's list with a GPA of 3.25 or higher from Niagara University for the fall 2006. She is a 2006 graduate of Brockport High School and is the daughter of Bob and Debbie Westcott.


Tresa Westcott of Clarendon has achieved the dean's list with honors at SUNY College at Brockport for fall 2006. She is a 2005 graduate of Brockport High School and the daughter of Bob and Debbie Westcott.


The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International Editorial Board announced the publication of the article "Developing Student Learning Outside the Classroom" by Loren A. Penman in the fall 2006 issue of The Delta Kappa Gamma Bulletin. Penman, a resident of Batavia, is a member of Beta Alpha Chapter, New York. She is Director of Learning for the Byron-Bergen School District.


Lyndsie Duemmel, a 2005 Kendall graduate, completed basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas on January 19. She finished as top Airman for the women in her flight in four out of five categories. She is training at Shephard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas for Hydraulic Technology and in Air Refueling Technology. She is also training to be a 'Ropes' counselor, an Airman Christian counselor. After completion of her training she will be stationed in England.


Army Pvt. Dale S. VanVorst graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Kentucky. During the nine-week training period, the trainee received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, field training and tactical exercises, armed and unarmed combat, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, traditions and core values. He is the son of Bryon Van Vorst of Rochester and Lynn Burlingham of Brockport. Van Vorst is a 2004 graduate of Brockport High School.


Army National Guard 2nd Lt. Andrew M. Kirchhoff graduated from the Army Basic Officer Leader Course at Fort Benning, Columbus, Georgia. The training is designed to ensure a tough, standardized, small-unit leadership experience for officers.

He is the son of Keith and Mona A. Kirchhoff of Brockport. Kirchhoff graduated in 2001 from Brockport High School, and received a bachelor's degree in 2006 from the State University of New York, Brockport.
