Chili Senior Center programs

Oil Painting - classes are offered on Mondays from 2 to 4 p.m. $30 for six weeks. $15 for start-up supplies. Call for information.

Silver Chords - senior chorus, under the direction of Helen Halligan from Hochstein School of music, meets Mondays from 10 to 11 a.m. All welcome.

Bridge Players - meet the first Friday of the month from 12:45 to 3:30 p.m. The following weeks, the group meets on Tuesdays from 12:45 to 3:30 p.m.

Stretch and Strengthen - a fun and lively workout on Tuesdays at 3 p.m. on the first Tuesday and at 1:30 p.m. the others.

Euchre and Pinochle - Wednesdays from noon to 3:30 p.m. Bring nickels and dimes. All welcome.

Chain Gang - Group of people who knit and crochet meets each Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the senior center. Help with projects for hospitals and nurseries. Lessons available.

Line Dancing - No partner needed. Cost is $12 for six weeks. Meet on Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

AARP Defensive Driving Courses - All classes are held on Tuesdays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Must attend both sessions. The following dates are available: June 19 and 22, July 17 and 20, August 21 and 24, September 18 and 21, October 16 and 19, November 13 and 16. Call the center to make a reservation. Cost is $10 per person and payable on the first class date.

Winter Picnic - Friday, February 16 at 11:30 a.m. Entertainment by Wind and Rhythm band. $5 each. Sign up early.

St. Patrick's Day Luncheon - Wednesday, March 14, a traditional Irish feast at the Chili Senior Center at 11:30 a.m. Music by "Everheart," an Irish duo, performing Irish, Country and Bluegrass music. Tickets are $15 per person. Will sell out early, get tickets early.

Irish Concert - Friday, March 16, depart the Senior Center 6:30 p.m. for the Hochstein School of Music. Enjoy the sounds of Mitzie Collins, Roxanne Ziegler, the Dady Brothers and see the Drumcliff Dancers. $15 each. One bus only, sign up early.

Spaghetti Supper - at the Legacy at Parklands on Saturday, March 10. Two seatings, one at 4 p.m. and one at 5:45 p.m. $5.50 for adults and $3.50 for children under ten. Tickets are available at the Chili Senior Center and at the Legacy. All proceeds will benefit the Chili Senior Center. Take outs will be available.

Sprague's Maple Farm/Allegany Casino Trip - Wednesday, March 21, depart the Senior Center at 7:30 a.m. for Portville, NY, for a brunch at Sprague's Pancake House. From here we will head to Seneca Allegany Casino for five hours of fun and gaming. Depart the Casino at 5 p.m., make a short comfort stop on the way back to Chili, and return by 8:30 p.m. $50 per person which includes $20 in slot dollars and $5 food voucher.

Euchre Touranment - Saturday, April 21. Doors open at 9 a.m.; tournament starts at 10 a.m. Registration fee of $4 must be paid in advance at the senior center. $6 will be due on the day of play. Sign up early.

Tai Chi Chuan - basic Tai Chi classes starting Tuesday, March 20, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Six week session $24. Must sign up for a six week block at a time. Class will be limited in size. Register early.
