Two alternative exercise programs
offered at Sweden Senior Center

The following yoga and yoga-related classes will be offered at the Sweden Senior Center, 133 State Street, Brockport (637-8161).

Yoga - Remove aches, improve circulation of blood and energy, heal aching joints, improve mobility and power, take control over weight. Yoga is based on centuries old principle: moving hinge does not rot. Not all styles of yoga are equal. Iyengar style is most old and potent. Thursdays 2 to 3 p.m., March 1 through April 5 (6 weeks). Residents $40, non-residents $45. Contact instructor, Alexander, at classicalDao@hotmail.com or 585-637-0486 with questions. Register by February 23.

Rejuvenate yourself with Nei Gong - Somewhat like yoga, but much easier to execute giving you direct control over quantity and circulation of energy. Learn to use mind and mild motions of body and limbs to gain complete control over health. Nei Gong has same and even more profound effects than yoga. Yoga and Nei Gong complement each other. For most people it is easier to start with Nei Gong. This was not taught in U.S. previously. It is a 1,000 year old Chinese practice designed to work, not a new age whim. It is not Tai Chi, and is not Chi Kung. Fridays, 2 to 3 p.m., March 2 through April 13, (6 weeks), no class April 6. Residents $40, non-residents $45. Contact Alexander, at classicalDao@hotmail.com or 585-637-0486. Deadline to register, February 23.
