Making memories

On February 9, couples filled the gymnasium at Spencerport's Taylor Elementary School to enjoy line dances, square dances and the Hokey Pokey. The Father/Daughter Dance made memories for 75 fathers and daughters. The girls received corsages, and following an evening of dancing and fun, each couple left with a photo for their memory books. Taylor fifth-grade boys Mike Crowley, Mark Johantgen, Austin Petralia, Eric Zemaitis, Colby Schluter ad Geoffrey Dear volunteered at sign-in, with coats, photos and punch and cookies. Mike Callahan called the square dances. Teachers Lisa Zona, Dawn Hoadley and Russ Grasso assisted. Roger Schurkamp and Karen Gafner, Taylor physical education teachers, organized the evening as an alternative project for their teaching portfolios. Pictured are students Morgan Schreiner, Meleigha Owens, Hannah Saurini and Megan Snyder.
