Walk for Sight with Lions Clubs

The Lions of District 20-E1 (Genesee Region) are planning a 'Walk For Sight,' from Middleport to Palmyra, a total of 71.5 miles, beginning on April 21 and finishing on August 11. The walk will be divided into sections, and Lions Club will be in charge of their corresponding section.

This march is a fundraiser for Campaign SightFirst II, a Lions International Program aiming to raise $150 million in order to fund the prevention and cure of all preventable and curable cases of blindness and sight impairness in the whole world, including our own country.

Campaign SightFirst I, in the nineties, raised $150 million, that was used to cure 28 million people suffering from cataracts, glaucoma, trachoma, oncoserchiasis, macular degeneration, diabetes retinopathy, retinitis pigmentosa and other eye problems.
