Petitions available for Churchville-Chili
Board of Education seats

Candidates wishing to run for the Churchville-Chili Central School Board of Education must submit petitions to the district clerk on or before Monday, April 16 by 5 p.m.

Petitions must contain the signatures of at least 31 qualified voters of the school district. A qualified voter is any person who is a citizen of the United States, is at least 18 years old and is a resident of the school district for at least 30 days prior to the date of the election.

The term of board members Kathleen Dillon, Mark Hill and Steve Grogan expire on June 30 this year.

A drawing for ballot position will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, April 16 in the Administration Office. Candidates are invited to participate in the drawing or the district clerk will draw on their behalf.

Petitions may be obtained in the district clerk's office, 139 Fairbanks Road, during regular business hours.

The budget hearing and information meeting will be held on May 1 at 7 p.m. in the boardroom at the administration office. The first portion of the evening's agenda will be a discussion open to the community of the tentative proposed 2007-2008 budget. The second portion of the agenda is to provide all district residents with the opportunity to meet the candidates who are running for three vacancies on the Board of Education.
