Assemblyman appointed to
Joint Budget Committee on Transportation

Assemblyman Bill Reilich (134th District) was appointed to a Joint Budget Committee on Transportation to determine the amount of state funding for roads, bridges and highways in the 2007-08 state budget.

"The health of the state's economy depends in large part on the condition of its infrastructure," remarked Reilich. "Keeping the state's roads, bridges and highways in top shape makes New York a more attractive place to do business and improves the safety for people who commute to work or rely on the highways for their livelihood."

All joint conference committee hearings are open to the public to improve accountability and transparency in the budget process.
