Brockport men's basketball makes it to elite eight

The Brockport men's basketball team took their at-large bid to the NCAA tournament, and made the best of it. The Golden Eagles won three games before falling in the sectional finals to Wooster on March 10.

Brockport played the first and second round games at St. Lawrence, where they defeated Elms in the first round and St. Lawrence in the second. Their next game was against St. John Fisher on Fisher's home court. Brockport left with a 105-91 victory, which set them up for the sectional finals against the nation's second best team, Wooster.

Brockport went into the half with an 11 point advantage, but could not hold off Wooster, as they turned the game around and took a 70-59 lead halfway through the second half. All tied at 81, the Golden Eagles had an open three point shot to win, but couldn't connect. Wooster outscored the Eagles 13-6 to move into the final four. Brockport ended their season at 26-6.
