SUNYAC makes strong showing
in ECAC Basketball Championships

Five SUNYAC basketball teams were selected to play in the men's and women's ECAC Basketball Championships that began February 28. The Brockport women and Oswego men made it to the finals, but neither could pull out the victory.

On the women's side, Brockport, Oswego and New Paltz were selected to play. The Lakers and Hawks played the first round contest in Oswego, where the Lakers won 71-59. With second seeded Brockport defeating RIT in the first round 76-49, the Golden Eagles and Lakers met in the ECAC semifinals, which happened to be the same match-up from the SUNYAC semifinals.
