County/City 911 Center receives award

The County/City 911 Center is the recipient of the prestigious 2007 Outstanding 911 Center Award from the E 9-1-1 Institute in Washington D.C. The award, which was presented at the fourth annual awards gala in Washington D.C. on March 13, recognizes the community's 911 Center as a leader in technology implementation and a national model for inter-governmental operations and cooperation. Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY) presented the recognition to representatives of the center (l to r) Operations Manager John Cassin, Telecommunicator Jennie Orum, Dispatchers Tracy Bouchard and Ronald Butler, Congresswoman Louise Slaughter, Dispatcher Josh McCartan, Center Director John Merklinger, Dispatcher Christopher Martin and Shift Supervisor Janet Jamison.
