Churchville-Chili Student Art Show opens March 28

Students of Churchville-Chili Central School District will share their work with the community during the district's annual art show.

The show will include the best artwork from kindergarten through the AP (advanced placement) art course. Artwork from many disciplines will be represented, including painting, printmaking, sculpture and other three dimensional work, drawing, collage, graphic design, photography and even digital imaging. Many of the pieces featured in this show are Churchville-Chili Central's 2007 Monroe County Scholastic Art Award winners, according to district officials.

The show will take place in the Junior High School forum, and admission is free. Opening night is March 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. Music ensembles from the High School, digital imaging videos and student demonstrations will also be featured. All district art teachers will be present to meet and greet. Additional show hours are March 29 and 30, from 4 to 8 p.m.; March 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and April 2 to 4 from 4 to 8 p.m.
