Girl Scouts host carnival day

On Saturday, March 17 Junior Troop 378 hosted a Brownie Event called Carnival Day. Eleven Brownie troops from the Black Creek Service Unit attended a day full of playing games, winning prizes and enjoying snacks and camaraderie. Troop 378 hosted the event as part of the requirements to earn the Girl Scout Bronze Award.

For one and a half years the 12 girls in Troop 378 have been planning and preparing for Carnival Day. Each girl had to design, create and run their own carnival game. In addition to this, the girls made a total of 1,800 prizes to hand out to each Brownie that played her game. Brownies that attended also earned the Tri-it Playing Around the World in which the Junior Troop facilitated four activities for the badge.

Junior Troop 378 members thank Chili Wegmans, Gates Tops, Henrietta's Wendys, and St. John's Spencerport CYO basketball organization for donations of food, drinks and popcorn machine for the day.
