Athletic team members volunteer in community

Spencerport varsity athletic teams participated in a volunteer community service/charity project through the Spencerport Student-Athletes Care Program during the 2006-07 winter season.

This winter the Rangers varsity athletic teams have performed a variety of projects:

Boys Basketball - Sponsored "Coaches vs Cancer" Xmas Tournament with GBB Coach Chow Classic (donated $2,500 to American Cancer Society)

Girls Basketball - Sponsored "Coach Chow Classic" with BBB Coaches vs Cancer Christmas Tournament (donated $2,500 to American Cancer Society)

Wrestling - Assisted with Jr. Ranger Wrestling Club Youth Wrestling Tournament (set up, officiating, clean up)

Hockey - Participated in a scrimmage vs. Rochester Ice Cats Disabled Students/Adults

Boys Swimming - Conducted a Canned Food Drive - Donated to St. John's food shelf

Indoor Track - Assisted with SCS Elementary Schools PE "Turkey Trot" run

Boys/Girls Bowling - Donated supplies to U.S. Armed Forces in Iraq

Winter Cheerleading - Assisted Ogden Recreation with their annual Easter egg hunt in April
