Absentee ballots available for school district vote

Spencerport Central School District residents unable to vote in person on Tuesday, May 15 may request applications for absentee ballots by contacting the Spencerport Central School District Clerk's office at 349-5110, or in person at District Office, 71 Lyell Avenue in Spencerport.

The district must receive requests by May 8 if the resident wishes to receive the ballot by mail. Residents who wish to pick up their absentee ballot in person may apply through May 14. The deadline for the return of all ballots to the district office is 5 p.m. on May 15. Under education law, ballots are invalid if received later than 5 p.m. on May 15, regardless of postmark date.

District residents will vote on a proposed budget for 2007-08 and select two candidates for the board of education. Voting is Tuesday, May 15, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at District Offices, 71 Lyell Avenue in Spencerport.
