Dancing through great literature

Holley students in Suzanne Lepkowski's 11th grade English class took their study of the novel The Great Gatsby to the next level. Instead of just reading about the jazz age, they learned the dances portrayed in the novel. Under the guidance of Kippy Ralabate, who owns a dance school, students took on the fox trot and Charleston. The program was part of Holley's Arts in Education collaboration with Young Audiences of Western New York, Inc. Kippy Ralabate teaches Holley juniors Dana Swanger and David Young the proper hold for the fox trot. In the background is junior Ashley Weaver.
