Cleaning the
canal paths

On Saturday, April 21, nine Boy Scouts and their leader, David Maslyn, and his assistant together with seven Masons of Social Lodge #713, all from Kendall, met at the lift bridge in Holley to take part in the 2nd annual Canal Clean Sweep. The group walked both sides of the canal, from the village to County Line Road, picking up litter and brush, helping to beautify the canal system and the Canalway Trail. Statewide, 49 groups engaged in this effort to enhance and preserve this historic resource. Boy Scouts and their leaders are pictured after completing the project.
