Holley teacher receives SUNY Brockport teaching award

Christine Langelotti, a Holley kindergarten teacher, was presented with the SUNY Brockport Roy L. Bubb Award for being an outstanding supervising teacher of student teachers from the university's elementary student teaching centers. Langelotti was formally presented with the award during the 27th Annual Teacher Certification Ceremony in May.

In her 12-year teaching career, Langelotti has taught kindergarten and second grade. She has worked in the Holley School District since 2001 and has mentored student teachers from SUNY Brockport every year. "I'm honored to have received this award because it's important to me to help others start their teaching careers," she said. "I also believe that the more adults there are in the classroom, the more opportunities students have to make that all-important connection with an adult."
