Lakeside’s first hole-in-one at annual Golf Classic June 4

Michael Longfellow, an OR nurse at Lakeside Memorial Hospital, hit a hole-in-one on the 6th hole at Brockport Country Club during Lakeside’s 16th Annual Golf Classic held on June 4. The hole is rated a par three at 179 yards long. Longfellow enjoyed the company of two Lakeside physicians, Dr. Scott Berry and Dr. Shawn Stephens, who witnessed Longfellow’s first ever hole-in-one made with his six iron. Longfellow will receive a brand new Nike Sasquatch driver valued at about $400 as well as a GMPP “Smart Care” Maintenance Plan provided by GMAC for his perfect shot, valued at $450.

Longfellow’s perfect shot was also Lakeside’s first hole-in-one at their annual Classic that raises thousands of dollars for Lakeside Health System each year. This year’s event netted over $26,000 that will support Lakeside services to the community. The planning committee, chaired by John Heise of Holley this year, work with many volunteers and the Foundation staff to ensure a successful event.

Longfellow’s hole-in-one was not enough to give his team the win. First place for the men’s division went to Chris Chimenti, David Wagenhauser and Paul Horsington. Libby Caruso, Cindy Rombaut, Marsha Moracco and Corky Dailey took first place for the women. In the mixed division, Marcia Smith, Sara Phillips, David Kast and Mark Murphy took first place.
