Spencerport athletes recognized for scholarship

Six Spencerport spring varsity athletic teams qualified for the NYSPHSAA Team Scholar Athlete Award during the spring 2006-07 season. In order to qualify, a team must have a team grade point average of 90 percent or above. Teams, their grade point averages and coaches were:

Girls Track and Field - 94.867 - Seth Blodgett; Girls Lacrosse - 93.791 - Amy Nesbitt; Boys Tennis - 93.444 - John Gentile; Boys Track and Field - 92.367 - Josh Reynolds; Softball - 91.264 - Deb Loughlin; Golf - 90.771 - Tom Etsler.
