Gretchen E. Breslawski graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University's College of Fine and Performing Arts in Youngstown, Ohio on May 19 with a BFA in Musical Theatre. She also was one of only 32 students to graduate from the University Honors Program, having completed additional coursework throughout her college tenure and completing a senior thesis/project. While at YSU she was an active member of Alpha Psi Omega, the national theatre honor society. She is an apprentice with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey. Breslawski, a 2003 graduate of Brockport High School, is the daughter of Dolores and Terry Breslawski, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.


Eric Windover of Rochester graduated May 26 with an MS, Curriculum and Instruction degree from the University of Scranton.


Micah Brill, a Byron-Bergen High School junior, has been accepted to a two-week workshop in Los Angeles in July sponsored by the Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation. He is one of 32 students who was selected from across the country and given a full scholarship to attend the program. The 15-17 year-olds who participate receive a first-hand look at the environments within which music industry professionals work. They are also given the opportunity to explore various careers within the music business.


The following students have been named to the dean's list at St. Bonaventure University for the spring 2007 semester. Each student has achieved a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Gregory Oliver, graduated with a degree in elementary education/special education. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Oliver of Spencerport. Ryan Shannon, a senior political science major with a minor in philosophy prelaw. Shannon is the child of Mr. and Mrs. James M. Shannon of Brockport. Kaitlyn Keidel, a senior elementary education/special education major. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Keidel of Churchville.


Christine Halter of Holley was named to the dean's list for the spring 2007 semester at D'Youville College of Buffalo. She is a sophomore in the occupational therapy program. Students must earn at least a 3.4 grade point average to qualify for the dean's list. She is a graduate of Kendall High School and is the daughter of Michael and Debbie Halter.


Megan Baker, daughter of James and Stacey Baker of Kendall, has been named to the spring 2007 dean's list at St. John Fisher College in Rochester.

Baker, a sophomore, is a communication and political science major.

To be eligible for the dean's list at St. John Fisher College, a student must have attained at least a 3.5 grade-point average for the semester. Baker earned a 4.0 GPA.


Sean Bullock of Hilton has been named to the dean's list with a GPA of 3.40-3.69 at SUNY College at Brockport for spring 2007. He is a 2006 graduate of Hilton High School and is the son of John and Marcia Bullock.
