Hilton players
make it to All-Star game

The Eddie Meath Senior All-Star Football game will be Sunday, July 1 at PAETEC Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. On Friday, June 29, the Annual Eddie Meath All-Star Banquet will be held to honor the six Section V Coaches of the Year and game uniforms being presented to the Eddie Meath All-Star players, cheerleaders and coaches.

The following students from this area to be recognized are: Andy Ellsworth, a Hilton High School student who played football and lacrosse. His outstanding individual statistics: one fumble recovery, two safeties, six sacks and 34 tackles in 2006 season. Three fumble recoveries, three sacks, 33 tackles, 16 of 19 extra points, two of two field goals in 2005 season and 13 of 15 extra points, one of one field goals in 2004 season. His individual athletic honors include: First Team all-league kicker and defensive end. AGR honorable mention two times. Most valuable defensive lineman.

Alex Coffey of Hilton High School who played high school football and baseball. His outstanding individual statistics were: average 7.1 yards per carry as a quarter back. He broke five school records. Coffey was a First Team all-county in his junior and senior years.

Scott Allis of Hilton High School played high school wrestling and football. He led the team in tackles in his junior and senior year. Allis was a First Team all-county player.
