Spencerport Scout Troop 165 goes to Washington

Boy Scout Troop 165 from Spencerport traveled to Washington, D.C. May 26 to May 28. Leader and Eagle Scout David Kent acted as tour guide for 14 scouts and 13 leaders as they traveled to the White House, Ford's Theater, Washington Monument, WWII Memorial, National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Museum of Natural History, Manassas National Battlefield Park and the National Air and Space Museum in Dulles. The troop camped at William B. Snyder Scout Camp during the trip. They are pictured in front of the Boy Scout Memorial in President's Park. The memorial stands on the site of the First Boy Scout Jamboree in 1937.
