Holley sixth grader recognized for academic excellence

Holley student Joshua Hatfield received the Andrew DeCarlo Achievement Award at the annual Sixth-Grade Moving Up Day Awards Assembly. Joshua, the son of Mark and Michelle Hatfield, was selected for the award because he has the highest grade point average in his class - 97.85 percent. "Josh is a meticulous worker and a very conscientious student," said his teacher Leigh Onisk. "He worked very hard to earn the average he received." After the assembly, students and their families celebrated with a chicken barbecue then walked over to their new school - Holley Middle School/High School.
