Celebrating the
Erie Canal in song

Bill Hullfish, a Brockport native, and other members of the Golden Eagle String Band, entertained residents and visitors at Brockport's Welcome Center July 10. Sponsored by the New York Geographic Alliance, the "Grand Canal ExpERIEnce" was to make a number of stops along the canal. "We offer an unusual repertoire of music that encompasses the length of the canal and from the Great Lakes," Hullfish said prior to the concert. The Golden Eagle band has been around for more than a quarter century and released an anniversary album. Hullfish is also the author of "The Canaller's Songbook" with CD that includes 37 songs.
