Amy Margolis, Ginther Assistant Principal


New assistant principal appointed at Ginther School

The Brockport Central School District Board of Education appointed Amy Margolis assistant principal at the Ginther School She began her new role July 1. Margolis succeeds Rosemary Custer who was promoted to principal upon the retirement of Ann Sweeting.

Prior to making the move to assistant principal, Margolis taught kindergarten at Ginther for six years. She served as grade department chair and was a member of many committees including district and building Student Assistant Program Teams, Caring Kids Club, Report Card, Health and Wellness and the Reading First Leadership Team.

"While working together and serving on many district and building committees over the past six years, Amy and I have had the opportunity to build both a great professional and personal relationship," said Custer. "Amy was an outstanding teacher and has the knowledge and drive that it takes to be a great building administrator. I'm excited and looking forward to serving the district together in our new positions."

Margolis received her education administration certification from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. She holds a master's degree in advanced classroom teaching from SUNY Geneseo and a bachelor of arts in elementary and special education degree from Providence College.

She resides in Greece with her husband, Matthew.
