Spencerport school pool building to come down

Demolition of the pool at Spencerport High School begins Wednesday, August 8, when crews will start to demolish the building around the pool. Work is tentatively scheduled to begin at around 9 a.m. There will be an area for spectators to watch the start of demolition, according to district officials.

The pool has served students and residents for 38 years. The replacement is part of the 2006 Capital Project vote. It will take about a year to build the new pool.

Spectators interested in attending the start of demolition at the pool can check the District website, www.Spencerport-Schools.org, for the latest estimate on the start time for the work.
