Civil War comes to life at Hamlin Beach

The Civil War is remembered during the weekend of August 18 and 19 at Hamlin Beach State Park. Re-enactors, living camps, military demonstrations, lectures and a night battle will be part of this weekend highlighting the history of the Civil War.

There is no cost to attend any of the events, but a $7 vehicle fee will be charged. The event kicks off Saturday, August 18 at 9:30 a.m. and continues through 9:35 p.m. with a Night Fire demonstration on field. (Weather permitting). The camp opens on Sunday, August 19 at 9:30 a.m. and continues through 4 p.m.
