Ryder, Mary Kincaid, August 7, 2007, daughter of the late Lester and Mae Kincaid of Spencerport. Survived by her husband, Robert E.; two children, Todd (Tammy) Ryder, Kara Ryder; grandson Sam; two brothers, Jack (Barbara) Kincaid, Jim Kincaid; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Mary was a Registered Nurse who worked at Genesee Hospital, Strong Memorial Hospital and Rochester General Hospital and touched so many people during her nursing career.

BERGEN

Dutton, Debra K., Age 45, died August 12, 2007 at her home in Bergen. Ms. Dutton was born September 27, 1961 in Rochester, a daughter of Ray and Jean (Nichols) Allyn, both of Bergen. She was a 1979 graduate of Byron-Bergen High School and she enjoyed life and her dogs. Surviving along with her parents are two sisters, Cheryl Reis of Byron and Susan (JR) Fabretti of Irondequoit; two nieces and one nephew and many, many good friends.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, August 25 at the Bergen Village Park, South Lake Street, Bergen. Contributions can be made to Homecare & Hospice, 550 East Main Street, Batavia, New York 14020 in her memory.


BROCKPORT

Hwiecko, Leo R., August 12, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; sister, Emily France; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Funeral Mass was said August 15 at the Church of the Nativity BVM, Brockport. Interment, Garland Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of one's choice in his memory.


Markham, Harold M., August 8, 2007, age 77. He is survived by his wife of nearly 35 years, Judy; son Curt; daughter Jennifer; sister Florence Thayer; and several nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Brockport Presbyterian Church; the Quiet Birdmen; the Rochester Scottish Pipes and Drums; the Rochester Scottish Heritage Society and captain of the Robert MacKay Company, War of 1812 re-enactment group.

He retired from Kodak in 1991 after 29 years. He took up fly-ing in the 1960s, earning single-engine land and sea and multi-engine land ratings along with commercial, in-strument and flight instructor ratings. He operated the first flight instructional school at Ledgedale Airport in Brockport. Over the years he was a member of several re-enactment groups representing the French & Indian War, Revolutionary War and Civil War. In 2005, he or-ganized a War of 1812 unit at Genesee Country Village & Museum, where he had worked as a village inter-preter since shortly after his Kodak retirement. About 35 years ago that he became attracted to the skirl of the bagpipes. He became well-known for his piping - playing at weddings, funerals, parties and other occasions - and played regularly at the museum. A consummate storyteller and a self-described "talker" rather than a speaker, he was in demand for his talks on the War of 1812 and on piping.

Funeral Services were held August 13 at the First Presbyterian Church, Brockport. Interment, Lake View Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Genesee Country Village and Museum in his memory.


CHURCHVILLE

•DeVelder, Donald L., August 9, 2007, at age 83. He was predeceased by his brother, Harold. He is survived by his only son, Michael; his four daughters, Carol (Robert) Rudolph of Farmington, Lynda (Edward) Shaw of Livonia Center, Donna (Lee) Bradley of West Henreitta and Laurie Radesi of Williamsville; his sisters, June Doe of Newark, Betty McCarthy of California; half-sister Beverly (Donald) Mertz of Palmyra; half-brothers, Roger (Marilyn) Bundschuh of Newark and Charles (Patricia) DeVelder of Conesus; 15 grandchildren; great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, cousins and a few very close friends. Don was a Veteran of WWII and a retiree of Rochester Products. He loved fishing and leaves behind his beloved dog, Mitzi.

A Private Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions can be made to Palliative Center for Caring, 1450 Portland Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621 in his memory.


HAMLIN

Fairchild, Richard B. Sr., August 11, 2007 at age 81. Predeceased by his children, Matthew, Richard II, Victoria Fairchild. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Naomi (nee Layman); children, Kathryn Fairchild, Elisa Weber, Melissa (Scott) Padoleski, Sandra (Michael) Malley; stepsons, Richard (Charlene), Raymond (Eden) and Phillip Marsh; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; niece and nephews; many friends. He was a World War II Navy veteran and was a Major in the Rochester City Police Department serving for 27 years.

A Memorial Service was held August 17 at First Bible Baptist Church. Contributions can be made to the First Bible Baptist Church Building Fund, 1039 North Greece Road, Rochester 14626 in his memory.


Nichols, Helen (Church), Saturday, August 11, 2007, at age 93. Predeceased by her husband, Adrian. She is survived by her son, Donald (Sandra) Nichols; daughter, Carol (David) Lewis; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Steven Nichols, Brad (Karen), Todd (Kathy) and Kellie Lewis; great-grandchildren, Jacob, David, Isabella and Murphy; many nieces and nephews.

Private interment. Contributions can be made to the American Lung Association in her memory.


Wagner, Vera M., Peacefully, August 14, 2007, age 97. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Alice and Gary Leistman; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, Austin Martin and Arthur Wagner and her daughter, Margaret.

A Funeral Mass was said August 17 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hamlin. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery, Waddington, New York. Contributions can be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in her memory.


HILTON

Fichter, Kathleen (Mayer), August 13, 2007. Predeceased by her husband, John Fichter; daughter Lynne Fichter. She is survived by her children, Stephen (Robin) Fichter, David (Eileen) Fichter, Kim (Gary Persica) Bremer, Christian (Eileen) Fichter, Susan (Thomas) Brownell; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pabo, Waldemar (Walt), July 13, 2007, 85; a 17 year survivor of metastatic prostate cancer. He is survived by his wife Shirley; four children, Claudia, Carl, Marcia and Eric (Karla); his sister, Vera Juncosa; eight grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Walt was a Kodak retiree.

Stuber, Nancy Lyn, August 10, 2007, age 53, after battling liver cancer. She graduated from Monroe Community College, where she helped create a holocaust memorial. She was a membership coordinator for the YMCA, and a friend of Bill W. since December 4, 1986. Survived by her father, W. James Stuber (Lori), of Cashiers, North Carolina; brothers, William C. Stuber (Irene) and their sons, David R. and Mic R., of Sequim, Washington; J. Douglas Stuber (Kwang Suk Park) and their son, James Hyuntay, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina; Michel D. Stuber of Rochester and his daughters, Samantha N., Heather L. and Carington M.; Michael Keller and his children, Kristin, Kurt and Matthew of Canton, North Carolina; Nancy K. Stetson and son, Blaise, of Dunedin, Florida; and her adopted family, Mary E. Wade (John) and their children, Brenda Zaidel (Dave) and their children, Brooke, Alyssa and Corinne; Julie (Jim) Kultschisky and her son Jimmi; Jacqueline Candia (Chris) and their children, Nico and Alexis, all of Rochester. Nancy is predeceased by her mother, Mary S. Stuber; brother Thomas A. "Tad" Stuber; nephew, Charles Walter Cecil Stuber; stepmother Diane S. Stuber.

SPENCERPORT

Hammond, David Francis, 1966-2007. Suddenly, August 14, 2007 in Pensicola, Florida. Survived by his loving companion, Mark Curtis Jones; mother and father, Nelson E. and Karen Hammond; sister Sandra (Robert) Sisk; niece, Holley Elizabeth.

A family gathering will be held at a later date.
