Interactive webcasts from ForestConnect

Individuals interested in learning more about forests, forest management, and forest ecology with broadband access to the Internet, can join a monthly forestry seminar hosted by Cornell University Cooperative Extension. On the third Wednesday of the month a one-hour seminar ranging from how to select trees for firewood cutting, to vernal pools, to arranging a timber sale is scheduled.

Extension specialists provide live and interactive presentations on the Internet. Free registration at www.ForestConnect.info. Seminars are at noon and repeated, live, at 7 p.m.

The ForestConnect Internet forestry seminars are a webcast to a computer on a webpage. The URL for the webpage is provided after registration, about a week before a webcast. The webcasts include a Powerpoint presentation and the opportunity to ask questions and interact with the presenter. Each webcast has written materials used to supplement the presentation and provided, also free, at the ForestConnect website. Previous webcasts and additional information are available at www.ForestConnect.info.
