NYS DMV Online Learner's Permit Testing
now offered at Hilton High School

Students are able to take their Learner's Permit test online at Hilton High School this fall for the first time, according to Hilton Central School District Community Education Director Barbara Carder. The Hilton Community Education program has been NYS DMV-certified to offer the on-site testing. Students age 15+ currently enrolled and in good standing at Hilton High School may take their permit test at school, Carder said.

Students must be 16-years-old to actually drive on the Learner's Permit. Manuals will be available when the $9 pre-registration fee is paid in the Community Education Registrar's office located in the main office of Hilton High School. Testing will be offered monthly on Wednesdays, September 19, October 3, November 7, December 5, January 16, February 6, March 5, April 9, April 30, May 7, May 21, June 4, June 18, July 9 and August 6 in the high school library. Testing will be held from 2:15 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Hilton High School Library Computer Lab 'A', Hilton High School, 400 East Avenue, Hilton.

The Hilton Community Education program also offers a monthly Five-Hour Pre-Licensing Course which is required by NYS DMV prior to taking a road test for a driver's license.
