Local swim clubs join together

Sharks and Eagles Aquatic Sports (SEAS) and Westside WAVE Swim Club (WSSC) have merged and are recruiting new swimmers.

A member of USA Swimming, SEAS offers competitive swim training for athletes between the ages of 5 and 18. As a result of the combination, the team is now the large swim club on the west side of Rochester and expects to be a competitive force within the Niagara District.

SEAS practices at both the Brockport High School and Churchville-Chili High School pools. Head coach Doug Tobey, who has 25 years coaching experience with swim clubs, high schools and at the college level, leads the SEAS coaching staff and rotates between the pools in order to provide consistency of coaching and program philosophy.

An open house for interested swimmers will be held at Churchville-Chili High School Pool the week of September 24. Contact Membership Coordinator Michelle Kettinger at 426-2546 to schedule a free trial or for information visit www.westsideswimclub.org or www.seasswimteam.org.
