Linda D. Harissis, village treasurer of the Village of Spencerport, has been recognized as a Credentialed Municipal Finance Officer (CMFO) by the New York State Society of Municipal Finance Officers for achieving its high educational, experience and participatory requirements. Harissis has been employed by the Village of Spencerport as village treasurer for eight years and has been a member of the NYS Society of Municipal Finance Officers for an equal period of time.


Rhonda Robison of Hilton was chosen as Best in Show in the 2007 Graceful Envelope Contest sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) in recognition of the art of calligraphy and role of letters in binding people together. The Washington Calligraphers Guild administered the 13th annual competition. Robison's colorful envelope was one of 29 winners for honor from nearly 200 entries utilizing the theme of "A Mailable Feast" in a creative and artistic way while using hand-executed lettering to address an envelope.


Elisabeth LeAnn VanScoter of Spencerport received her master's degree in business administration with honors from R.I.T. in May 2007. She is a 1998 graduate of Spencerport High School and a 2002 graduate of Grove City College.

She completed her master's degree in February 2007 while working at R.I.T. as a senior staff assistant in Facilities Management Services. She has relocated to Syracuse.


Joseph Conner VanScoter of Greece completed his associate's degree in business management from MCC in June 2007. This was accomplished after recovering from a traumatic brain injury in December 2000.

He is a 2000 graduate of Spencerport High School and is currently employed by JP Morgan Chase as an underwriter for personal loans.


Benjamin Ward VanScoter of Spencerport graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College in December 2006 with a degree in business management and a concentration in entrepreneurship. He is a 2002 graduate of Spencerport High School. He is employed by Wegmans and is also working to establish his personal business in website design and marketing.


Samuel Oakes VanScoter received a bachelor's degree from Calvin College (in Grand Rapids, Michigan) in May 2007 with a major in physics and a minor in astronomy.

He is a 2003 graduate of Spencerport High School and is looking forward to doing some traveling before settling into a career.


Army Pfc. Adam C. Naron has graduated from Basic Combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Oklahoma.

Naron is the son of Frank Naron of Village Walk Circle, Spencerport.

He is a 2006 graduate of Spencerport High School.
