Cadets beat Rangers on Gridiron 42-14

Hilton Senior running back Bret Clark scored four touchdowns and rushed for 102 yards on 18 carries all in the first half as Hilton opened up a 35-6 halftime lead and went on to win their first game of the season 42-14. Clark has rushed for over 100 yards in each of Hilton's first three games.

Sophomore quarterback Duell Smith led a balanced Hilton attack with two big first quarter runs on third down that led to scores, he finished with 90 yards rushing including a 30 yard touchdown run early in the third quarter that finished the Hilton scoring. Smith also had a great day passing the ball completing 8 of 9 passes for 153 yards including a long pass to tight end Joe Pechie who broke several tackles leading to another Hilton touchdown. Junior running back Andy Nichols scored his first high school touchdown on a 12 yard run in the second quarter. Hilton finished with 429 yards total offense.
