Jerusalem Market Bazaar comes to Hamlin church

In keeping with all the new and exciting happenings and events at St. John Lutheran Church in Hamlin is their 2007 Bazaar planned for Saturday, October 20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Jerusalem Market Bazaar is a new theme which will feature a new layout for the marketplace and additional events and activities to make it a fun family day.

As in the past, there will be crafts, quilts and needlework, Christmas and holiday items, used treasures, thumbprints and the religious books stall.

The popular bakery and candy areas are returning also, offering many tempting treats. The farmers outdoor market will be filled to the brim with area produce, canned goods and other tasty items. Woodcrafters will be demonstrating custom crafting on-site with finished items available for purchase.

New this year are opportunities to purchase children’s (ages newborn to 6 years) gently used clothing, an outdoor children’s activity tent from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with games, activities and prizes, and teen activities beginning at 2 p.m.

During all the fun and events, shoppers at the Jerusalem Market Bazaar will want to be sure to take time for the famous barbecue, chili, hots and plenty of snack-type food.

Bazaar chairman Corky Beadle and his committee have been hard at work to provide the area communities with a day filled with fun and fellowship.

The proceeds from the bazaar are split 50/50 with the church/school and mission work. The mission efforts include Food for the Poor, Rochester Initiative, Life Solutions of Hamlin and to Pastor and Rita Nickel Mission currently serving in Krygastan.

Events will be held at the church site, 1107 West Fork Lake Road, Hamlin.
