Adopt-a-Trail volunteers

The Adopt-a-Trail program for the Town of Sweden completed its sixth season on September 29 with an end-of-season sweep of the Erie Canal towpath in the town. The volunteers do litter control and light maintenance of the trail. The Brockport Garden Club, one of the Adopt-a-Trail organizations, planted flowers on the south bank between the Park Avenue and Main Street bridges. In cooperation with the Canalfront Greeters, it maintains the flower beds during the canal season. In addition to the Garden Club, the participating organizations are the Brockport History Club, the Brockport Federal Credit Union, the Brockport High School girls swim team, the First Presbyterian Church, the Coffee Cup Campers, the Middle School Retirees, and the Walks and Talks.
