Legislators visit Lakeside

Lakeside Health System board members and senior leadership representatives hosted a luncheon for local representatives. In attendance were Senator George D. Maziarz, Assemblyman Steve Hawley, Assemblyman William D. Reilich and Paul Cole, district director representing Congressman Thomas M. Reynolds. "We are grateful for the support of our local representatives. Their financial support has enabled us to offer a state of the art 32-slice CT unit which is superior to those at all regional hospitals. We have also purchased new portable x-ray equipment," Kevin C. Nacy, CEO of Lakeside Health System said.

Lakeside leadership talked about current Lakeside services and future renovation projects. Reynolds secured $500,000 which will allow Lakeside to move on to the next stage of its improvement project, the Surgical Sterile Supply portion of construction.

Lakeside was commended on its recognition by the Premier Heathcare Alliance with the 2007 Premier Award for Quality for excellence in the care of patients in the area of Maternal and Neonatal Care (Pregnancy). Premier's quality awards annually measure six clinical areas and data from 400 hospitals nationwide are analyzed.
