Fire safety lessons

As part of Fire Safety Week, Heather Case's and Nancy Tesse's BOCES 2 Transition classes were visited by Case's husband, Spencerport Volunteer Fire Department Safety Officer Doug Case. Students learned about fire safety and fire fighting equipment. They tried on Case's coat, leggings, boots and helmet and sat in pumper truck 2914. Case left an impression when, to the students' delight, he departed with the fire truck's lights and sirens activated. Safety Officer Case explains the operation of the hose nozzle to students (l-r) Mike Wall, Jimmy Lee and Dan Lunn.
