Churchville Main Street Railroad crossing to be closed

Churchville Village Clerk/Treasurer Sue Davis announced during the October 22 meeting of the Churchville Village Board that she had received information from Rick DelPrince of CSXT about an upcoming closing of the railroad crossing on Main Street (Route 36). Davis told the board that the crossing will be closed beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, October 30 so that CSXT can rehabilitate the crossing and tracks. Route 36 will remain closed until Thursday, November 1 at 7 p.m. The closing includes night time hours. A state approved detour will be in place to help the flow of traffic. Main Street in Churchville will be closed to vehicular traffic at the tracks. Local traffic will be permitted, but will not be allowed to cross the tracks.
